The Washington-native has now accomplished another milestone in his rapidly growing career as his current single “I Never Lie” reached the #1 song on country radio.
Moments before heading out to sing to a sold-out crowd in Wilmington, North Carolina, Top received the award from legendary country duo Brooks & Dunn via video message.
“I couldn’t be more honored, and I can’t say a big enough thank you to my fans for loving music and loving what we do on the road, and listening to the songs every day – it means the world to me,” Top said during his acceptance speech. “I’ve always wanted to just play and sing for a living and I get to do that now. And it’s cool to be able to get a little trophy every now and then to let us know that we’re doing good doing it. So, thank you so much, this is beautiful.”
The award was Top’s first ACM win, however he was also nominated for Album of the Year, won by Lainey Wilson.
The 27-year-old performed “Use Me” during the show, garnering the attention and admiration of fans on social media.
“Love this song. Love Zach Top! Well deserved award- just the beginning. True country!,” one user wrote.
“He IS the future of REAL country music!,” another said.
Playing at the center of a dimly lit stage, the singer performed solo on his guitar in the middle of an enthusiastic audience.

Top announced his late night television debut to his Instagram followers earlier this month, sharing that he was set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Performing “I Never Lie,” Top gave a spectacular performance, leaving fans amazed at how similar he sounded both live and in recording studio.
“It’s crazy that sounds just as good live on stage as he does on the radio, most country singers cant do that,” a fan noted.
Top, who first entered the country scene in April 2024 after releasing his album Cold Beer & Country Music, is proving with his pure sound and unique charisma that his wildly successful career is just getting started!
